NeuroHealth Diagnostic Testing: Neuropsychological Testing
Neuropsychological testingis typically conducted when an individual displays difficulties or changes in thinking, memory, speech, personality, or other behaviors, which are significant enough to interfere with their normal daily routines. For example, people who have suffered a traumatic brain injury or stroke, or people who are exhibiting signs of dementia, are often given neuropsychological tests to evaluate their mental abilities.

Our on-site neuropsychologist uses a series of standardized tests to assess a patient’s cognitive and behavioral functions. These assessments will help to determine the causes and possible treatments for problems with memory, intellectual and cognitive functioning, daily activities, or behavior and emotions.

Some tests are administered in written form and others are administered orally. The length of testing varies according to the number and type of functions being assessed. Your doctor can tell you what to expect.
