Dizziness
Dizziness will occur at least once in the lives of 70% of the U.S. population. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), over 90 million Americans (age 17 and older) have experienced a dizziness or balance problem at some point in their lives. And the NIH reports that balance disorder is one of the two most common diagnoses among short-stay hospital admissions in people over the age of 65.

Roughly 50% of all dizziness is caused by inner ear disturbances, about 5% by medical and neurological problems respectively, about 15% by psychological disturbances, and the remaining 25% has no known cause. Most causes of dizziness are not serious and either quickly go away on their own or are easily treated.
